On February 5, 2017 Super bowl 51 was being played, between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots. The Falcons were searching for their first super bowl ring as a franchise, while the Patriots were looking for their fifth ring under Tom Brady and as a franchise. The Super bowl got a slow start in the first quarter with the game being tied 0-0, but in the second quarter the Falcons kicked it in, and at halftime the score would be 21-3. By the start of the third quarter the Falcons would go on to score one more touch down making the score 28-3. The Falcons would never be the same again. After that touchdown by the Falcons, Tom Brady and the Patriots took it down field to score a touchdown making the score 28-9 at the start of the fourth. This is where everything fell apart for the Falcons. In the fourth quarter alone the Patriots would score 1 field goal and 2 touchdowns and the game went into overtime with the score being 28-28. The Patriots got the ball to start overtime and the rest is history, they took it down field to score the game winning touchdown in overtime. This would go down as the biggest comeback in Super bowl history. A day Falcons fans will never forget.
